I’m a firm believer that sometimes the simplest recipes are the BEST recipes. It’s the dishes that don’t even really need a real “recipe” that I tend to make the most often and end up on repeat in my kitchen. It can be really tempting for me to feel like I constantly have to create new recipes for the blog but, I try not to have that mindset all of the time.
Sure, it’s fun to create new recipes but, honestly some of the best recipes I share on my blog and on social media are meals that I make all of the time and then realize, “man, I should share that with the world!”
This easy turmeric chicken is one of those recipes that I make on a regular basis. I can’t even count how many times I’ve made it. This chicken has become somewhat of a classic staple recipe in my kitchen.
On those busy weeks where I know I need something easy for lunch or even an easy dinner, this is the recipe I always return to. It’s simple, easy, and pairs well with my favorite lemon-herb tahini dressing for a quick salad.
One of my favorite ways to use this chicken is on top of salads.
I try to eat a salad every day because it’s such an easy way to get in a variety of healthy veggies in one meal. I don’t know about you, but unless I’m intentional about it, getting in enough fruits and veggies can be a little challenging. I would consider myself a healthy person but, I’m not perfect. Eating a salad for lunch most of the time helps me to make sure I’m getting in plenty of healthy veggies and fiber.
If you want to make eating salads even easier, try prepping some of this turmeric chicken breast for a quick source of protein to add to your salads. You can make three or four chicken breast at the beginning of the week and have enough for lunch all week!

Easy Turmeric Chicken
1 - 2 tbsp oil
1 1b chicken breast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Sprinkle the seasonings evenly on both sides of the chicken breasts. Let the chicken sit for 5-10 minutes.
When you're ready to cook the chicken, heat a pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add in the oil.
Add the chicken to the hot pan and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Serve the chicken over mixed greens with your favorite dressing for the perfect salad or on it’s own with your favorite sides.
