Peppermint and chocolate. Is there a better combination?

I’m a firm believer that peppermint and chocolate go together like peanut butter and jelly. Please tell me you’re the same. Apparently, it’s a polarizing issue. I feel like there’s no better combo, especially around the holidays.

If you are a peppermint and chocolate lover, than peppermint hot chocolate is probably one of the first beverages you think about when you think of the Christmas season. It’s like quintessential Christmas. Christmas in a cup. Christmas in your belly.

It is the drink of the season and it’s delicious, and if you clicked the link to this post, you probably think so, too.

Ok, so we’ve established that there’s pretty much nothing better than watching a Christmas movie with a warm cup of peppermint hot chocolate. If you’re like me though, traditional hot chocolate may taste great, but does not always leave you feeling your best. You may need a hot chocolate recipe without the dairy and a lot less sugar. What if you could add collagen to your hot chocolate for the extra benefits to your hair, skin, and nails?

This dairy-free peppermint hot chocolate checks all of those boxes without skimping on flavor. It’s full of chocolatey pepperminty goodness without the huge sugar rush and dairy that may upset your tummy. Instead of traditional white sugar, this hot chocolate is sweetened with maple syrup for a real food sweetness you’ll love. And, because this recipe calls for almond and coconut milk, you won’t miss out on that traditional hot chocolate creaminess you love either.

Last, but certainly not least, you can blend in a little collagen protein to this hot chocolate for the ultimate frothy healthy treat. Collagen protein is a great supplement to add to warm drinks just like this. I add two tablespoons to my coffee every morning. It’s tasteless and has amazing benefits for your hair, skin, nails, and digestion.

Easy, delicious, and even a little good for you.

You are winning this holiday season with this hot chocolate, my friend!
