January 2018 Healthy Living Challenge!

Last week in the All the Healthy Things Tribe, and on my personal Facebook page, I asked if any of my friends would be interested in doing some sort of group healthy eating + fitness challenge. For the past 2 years, I've started the year off by doing a January Whole30. While I love the Whole30 program, I wanted to do something a bit different in 2018. I've done three rounds of Whole30 and, at this point, I feel like I've learned what I needed to learn from the program. That being said, I still wanted to kick off 2018 by doing something that intentionally prioritized healthy eating and consistent movement. Most people tend to feel really motivated to hit the ground running and accomplish their goals at the beginning of the new year and I'm no different. Why not take advantage of that motivation and begin to cultivate healthy habits that we can take with us all year long? Why not take it a step further and work toward our goals with a group of like-minded people? Why not have a little (a lot) of fun along the way?! There's absolutely no reason not to and that's why I'm excited to announce the January 2018 Healthy Living Challenge!

 

 What is The January Healthy Living Challenge? 

The January Healthy Living Challenge is a group challenge designed to help you create healthy habits that will stick with you throughout 2018. This challenge is not about restriction, weight loss, supplements, fad diets, or quick fixes. Instead, the Healthy Living Challenge focuses on learning how to fuel your body with real delicious food, finding a fitness routine you actually love and enjoy, and working on important lifestyle factors like stress management and sleep. The challenge will start January 2, 2018 and for 30 days you'll focus on eating well, moving intentionally, and cultivating healthy habits that will last a life time!

 

when does it start? 

The January Healthy Living Challenge will run through January 2, 2018 - January 31, 2108!

 

What are the rules? 

  1. Commit to 30 days of eating real food, consistently moving your body, and creating healthy habits!
  2. Give yourself grace and have fun!

FAQs

Do I have to join the All the Healthy Things Tribe to participate? 

No, but I really think you'll be missing out if you don't! The Tribe is where you can share your specific goals, recipes you're loving, and what's working and not working for you. The Tribe will be a great source of accountability and support throughout the challenge! 

 

I really want to do a Whole30, can I still do one and be a part of the challenge? 

YES! If you've never done a Whole30 I highly recommend it! The program completely changed my relationship with food and healthy eating, and I think it's a great way to learn more about what foods do and don't work for your body. The majority of the recipes I'll be sharing will be Whole30 compliant and the grocery list can easily be made Whole30 compliant as well!

 

Do I have to eat perfectly the entire 30 days?

NOPE! The January Healthy Living Challenge is all about embracing balance and finding what works for YOU and YOUR body. Unless you're doing a Whole30, there are no specific rules you have to stick to in order to be a part of this challenge!

 

I'm a vegetarian, can I be a part of the challenge? 

YES! Remember, the Healthy Living Challenge is about finding what works for YOUR body. If you've experienced success on a vegetarian diet and want to continue eating that way, that's perfectly fine! If you've been a vegetarian for a little while and you're wanting to try something new, this is a great place to start! A lot of the recipes I share will probably include some kind of animal protein (just because that's how I normally eat) but I'll be sure to share any plant based substitutions you may be able to use. I'll also be sharing recipes from some of my favorite vegetarian/vegan bloggers in the Tribe as well!
